Connect funnels to your tree

Link a step to an opportunity or a solution, see its trend and badge on the tree, and use a funnel as an outcome's metric.

A funnel on its own says where people drop off. On your opportunity solution tree, it says whether what you built moved the step it was meant to move.

Link a step to a node

  1. Open a tree, and click an outcome, opportunity or solution to open its panel.
  2. In the Funnel section, press Link a funnel step.
  3. Pick a funnel…, then Pick the step…, and press Link.

Link the step a node is about. For an opportunity such as Teams don't see why to bring colleagues in, that is the step into Invited a teammate. For a solution, link the step it is meant to move.

If the list is empty, make a funnel on the Funnels page first.

What the panel shows

The Funnel section shows the step's conversion from the step before in recent weeks, the change against earlier weeks with its margin of error, and the weekly line from Step trends. Solutions linked to the same step are marked where they shipped.

The funnel's name links to the Funnels page. To unlink, press the × beside the step.

The badge on the canvas

A linked node carries a small funnel badge on the tree with the step's recent conversion, such as 47% ▲. The arrow appears only when the change is larger than its margin of error. Hover it for the funnel and the step.

That way the whole team sees, on the tree, which opportunities are moving.

A funnel as an outcome's metric

An outcome's metric can come from a funnel:

  1. Open the outcome's metric settings.
  2. Under Source, pick Funnel conversion (%).
  3. Pick the Funnel, and under Measure choose The whole funnel or one step, such as Created project → Invited teammate.
  4. Choose how many days it is Counted over.

The number at the root of your tree then updates itself from what your backend reports.
