Write the invitation

The email your customers get, the one reminder, the close date and the thank-you.

The Message step is everything around the questions. The email beside the form shows exactly what the first person on your list will get.

The email

  • From: your name, such as “Ada”.
  • Replies go to: the address replies reach. People do reply to surveys, so use one you read.
  • Subject and Message: a few words on why you’re asking. The email adds how many questions it is and about how long it takes, worked out from the longest path through the survey.

Outcomify sends the email for you. It carries your workspace’s name at the top, and its footer says your workspace asked Outcomify to send it and that a reply reaches Ada directly. It ends with an unsubscribe link.

The reminder

Reminder sends one reminder, 1 to 14 days after the survey goes out, only to people who haven’t answered yet. Nobody gets more than one, and it isn’t sent if the survey closes within 12 hours. Pick No reminder to send none.

The close date

Closes on is when the survey stops taking answers, at least a day and at most 90 days ahead. A new draft starts with a date two weeks after you began it. Anyone who opens the link after that sees a polite “this survey has closed”.

The thank-you and your privacy policy

Thank-you message is what people see once they hand their answers in. Your privacy policy is optional: a link to it shows on the survey page, next to who runs the survey.

Send a test to yourself

Send a test to me puts the invitation in your own inbox as a customer gets it, marked as a test. Its button opens a preview, where nothing you answer is saved. You can send up to five tests an hour.

Still stuck? Email info@outcomify.com and a person will answer.
